We believe that church should change lives.
We don’t have pews or bulletins, but we have a church filled with the Holy Spirit, who wants to engage and touch each person that desires it. The Mount and Bishop Brown have been anointed to change lives through the teaching of the Word and leadership by example. Here is what you can expect from your experience at The Mount.
Order of Worship
Here at The Mount we believe that worship should be free of those things that may prevent intimate encounters between the Lord and the saints. Therefore, worship includes praise and worship, giving, and preaching the word. These are the three main components of biblical worship. (Psalm 100)
The Mount is a tithing church, regularly giving a tenth of our gross or net earning from the job God has blessed us with. (Malachi 3:8-10)
There is no set time to receive the offering. Giving is a matter of the heart, and should be done as soon as we enter the temple and as often as God speaks to our hearts. We should not have to be reminded to give to God. (Matthew 2:10-11)
On Sundays, when the Holy Spirit leads us, we give away the offering placed on the communion table to someone our Bishop, through divine guidance of the Holy Spirit, picks out of the congregation in order to bless and enrich their lives. (Acts 4:32-37)
All of these things we do with a spirit of excellence and obedience to God. We hope that you will join us for a Wednesday or Sunday service at one of our campuses.
