January: Decision Making

January 10th – Making Time for ME
Provide tips on how to carve out ‘me’ time and the value of ‘me’ time.  Discuss how to find me time without necessarily leaving home, spending money etc.  Also discuss ‘me’ time that may include leaving the house, going on vacation (planning), etc.  What is the proper way to do that without feeling guilty or taking time away from family (spouse, kids etc.)

January 17th – A Woman’s Work is Never Done
Provide time management tips for mothers/women such as meal preparation (quick recipes) balancing homework, at what age to assign tasks to children and what tasks/chores, taking care of husband’s needs.  Include tips for wives/spouses of deployed military or husbands/spouses whose jobs require they work long hours away from home.

January 24th – Heart Health
Discuss how to guard and protect your heart (maintaining a heart of forgiveness, integrity, sincerity, etc.)

January 31st – Your Health Matters
Discuss tips to help you live longer and stronger.  Women’s health begins with healthy behaviors to prevent and manage the many health conditions that can affect you.  Discuss the importance of proper diet and exercise to maintaining a healthy life.  Discuss risk factors that increase changes of certain conditions or diseases.

February: Relationships

February 7th - Blended Families
Statistics show that approximately one-third of all weddings in America today form step families or blended families.  Discuss different types of blended families and highlight the unique challenges families may encounter.

February 14th – Valentines Day
No Tough Talk.  Work on relationship with someone special.

February 21st - Domestic Violence
Discuss the physical, verbal, and emotional abuse in Christian households.  We act like Ike and Tina on Fridays and Saturdays, but act like TD and Serita Jakes on Sundays.  Provide ways to escape the abuse.

February 28th – Gossiping – Am I the Trash Can?
Gossiping has affected many women. Discuss why Christian women should refrain from gossiping and spreading untruths.  How does gossiping affect the person gossiping and the person who is being gossiped about?  Don’t allow yourself to become the trash can for gossip.

March: Finances

March 6th – Budget Checkup
Am I doing better with my budget this year than I did last year?  Discuss changes that have been made.  Is tithing a part of my budget?  Did I stick with my budget over the holidays?  What areas am I still struggling in? 

March 13th – Women and Money
Discuss what women may not know about their finances that can hurt them.  Do you have a will, power of attorney or other legal directive?  Who are the beneficiaries on your life insurance policy?  Do you know where ALL of the bank accounts are or are you just taking his word? 

March 20th - Smart Shopping
Most women enjoy shopping. Discuss how to shop and save money. Provide smart shopping tips that can be used anywhere you shop. Use them to save money, and as a guide to strengthen your purchasing power.

March 27th – Planning for the Future
Provide tips to ensure women are doing the right things to prepare for the future.  Discuss the importance of goal setting, planning for education, preparing to buy a home, retirement planning, etc.

April: Spirituality

April 3rd – Healing
Discuss how God has healed us physically, emotionally, and/or spiritually.  Share stories of healing.

April 10th - Spiritual Warfare
Discuss tactics for defeating the enemy.

April 17th – Spiritual Gifts
Discuss how to understand your call and ministry purpose.

April 24th – Forgiveness
Forgiveness is a topic that touches the heart of any Christian woman. Discuss the importance of forgiving those who have done wrong against you.  Use Colossians 3:13 as the basis of this topic: “Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.”
